1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use browser local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) to remember certain preferences.

2. Cookies managed by KPaja

These are needed for the site to work and remember your choices. KPaja sets them directly:

• Account session (e.g. kpaja_usid): keep you signed in.
• Age verification (kpaja_age18): remember that you confirmed you are 18+.
• Interface language (kpaja_lang): Spanish or English.
• Cookie consent (kpaja_cookies_ok): remember that you accepted this notice.
• Browsing preferences (e.g. story filters): options you choose in the session.

In addition, the server may log technical data (IP, browser, requested URL) for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics. That is not a cookie, but it is part of normal site operation.

3. External advertising (third parties)

Ads are served by networks and partners entirely independent of KPaja. When you visit without Premium, those third parties may set their own cookies to show ads, measure impressions, limit repetition, or detect fraud. KPaja does not control or manage those cookies: each network has its own privacy policy.

If you reject cookies in the initial notice, we cannot offer the service and you will be redirected away from the site.

Premium users do not see the site’s usual ads; third-party cookies tied to those networks stop applying to the extent those scripts are not loaded.

4. How to accept or reject

The first time you enter (after confirming age) you will see a notice with two options: Accept (continue with first-party cookies and external ads) or Reject (leave the site). There is no way to close the notice without choosing.

You can delete cookies anytime in your browser settings. If you delete them, the notice will appear again.

5. Retention

Consent, age, and language cookies are kept for up to 12 months unless you delete them sooner. Account session depends on “remember me” at sign-in.
